Danau Girang Field Centre - a research and training facility owned by the Sabah Wildlife Department and supported by Cardiff University. Its purpose is to further scientific research with the aim of contributing to long-term conservation projects in Borneo. They support the PhD project on Banteng (endangered wild cattle species) currently being undertaken in Malua by Penny Gardner.

Sun Bear Conservation Centre - The Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC) was founded in Sabah, Malaysia in 2008 as a two-stage effort to provide for the care, rehabilitation and release of orphaned and captive sun bears, as well as address the lack of knowledge and awareness of this little-known bear both in Malaysia and internationally.

Cede Prudente is a Professional photographer and Conservationist, born in Lahad Datu, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. Based in Sandakan on Sabah’s east coast, he lives in one of the world’s most diverse and exciting environments. Cede has donated many photos to The Malua BioBank, including many of the ones you can see on our website.
